Vidhi Sharma is a light classical vocalist. A voice full of melody, Vidhi is adept at singing across various genres ranging from devotional, ghazals, folk to sufi.
Vidhi got introduced to music by her father Mr. M.M. Sharma, when she was 3 years old. Vidhi started with her formal training in classical music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and is a Sangeet Visharad. She also received training in light music- ghazals, bhajans from Sh. Mohinder Sarin- Music composer at the All India Radio.
Apart from her solo concerts, Vidhi has worked towards creating a fusion music set- up by the name of Secret Weapon in collaboration with Pt. Aay Shankar Prasanna. The band includes fusion classical, sufi, folk and world music as well. Vidhi has performed and collaborated with world-renowned fusion bands like Midival Pundtiz, Karsh Kale Collective, Mrigya, Synchronicity, Filter Coffee, Bandish, Eka, Jannat, etc .
Some of her memorable concerts like Jahan-e-Khusrau, New Delhi; Jaipur Literature Festival, Jaipur; Raag rang series, New Delhi; Delhi Youth Festival, Delhi Govt.; Tedx international Conference, Viraam Baithak organized by Pt. Rajan sajan Misra, Dehradun, Sula Fest, Nagpur etc have been very well appreciated by one and all.
Vidhi has won the title- Bhakti ki Awaaz- which was televised on Zee tv. She was awarded the title by late Sh. Jagjit Singh ji, Sudha Malhotra ji, Kailash Kher ji and Anup Jalota ji. Her collaboration album- Cinema won the GIMA (Global Indian Music Award) for the best fusion album in 2013.
